New Product Release - Formlabs Cutting Edge Resins

Today Formlabs announce the release of two new technical materials for the Form 3+ and Form 3B+ SLA desktop 3D printers.

With an extensive library of over 45 materials, Formlabs opens up a wide range of applications, including secondary fabrication techniques such as 3D printed rapid tooling for injection moulding and thermoforming. Dedicated to providing excellent, high quality and usable materials, Formlabs has a team of 40+ materials scientists and engineers to research, develop, and test the materials, combined with 20 settings optimisation specialists to ensure that the printers and materials work seamlessly together.

The new materials launched are a soft, flexible 100% silicone and a high-performance ceramic: Silicone 40A Resin and Alumina 4N Resin.

Silicone 40A Resin

Silicone 40A Resin, powered by Formlabs’ new patent-pending Pure Silicone Technology™, is the first accessible 100% silicone 3D printing material.

100% silicone resin for soft, flexible parts.

3D print functional silicone parts with excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Ideal for masking tools, seals, grippers and moulds.
