3D Printer General Enquiries
I'm not sure the printer will produce what I want, can I get a sample to see?
Absolutely! We can send you a sample printed part or if you have a particular design file yourself we can look at running a test print for you. Best thing to do is talk to us. We can help narrow down if and which 3D printer is right for your application.;
What file format do I need?
The best file format for 3D printing is STL. The CAD package your workplace uses will no doubt be able to export into this format.
Can I 3D print anything and everything?
No. 3D printing is a great technology and tool, but it isn't magic. As with all methods of manufacturing, 3D printers are a tool to achieving an end goal whether that be prototyping, producing tooling, jigs, fixtures or production aids, for R&D or end component / product manufacture. Talk to us about your application and we will guide you through what type of 3D printing technology will be best suited.
Which printer is right for me?
We sell a range of 3D printers from a variety of manufacturers, each with their own benefits and suited to different applications. Best thing to do is speak to our team! We are here and happy to help. We can delve into your application, share learnings from other industries and help provide advice to get you in the right type of 3D printer.
Where can I learn more about Additive Manufacturing in general?
Our sister website creat3d.solutions shares lots of learnings, with case studies from our clients in a range of different industries, more information on the type of 3D printing technologies available, our Knowledge Hub page with free downloadable content, guides and tutorials, as well as industry news and latest events.
Can I trial a 3D printer?
We do not offer trials, but you can use our Print Bureau Service to get your parts printed by us, or upload an example design file for a test print.
Can I see the 3D printers in action?
Yes we have a showroom in Reading, open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 (excluding Bank Holidays). Contact us to make an appointment and we can spend some time walking and talking you through the different technologies.

How do I get to your Reading 3D Printer Showroom?
Our Reading 3D Printer Showroom is located at 520 Eskdale Road, Winnersh Triangle, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41 5TU. We have plenty of free parking onsite.
Do I need to book an appointment to see your range of Additive Manufacturing equipment?
We strongly recommend arranging an appointment to meet with one of our experienced CREAT3D team members who will be able to talk you through the range of 3D printers available
What are your 3D Printer Showroom open hours?
Our 3D Printer Showroom in Reading is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, excluding Bank Holidays (we need a rest sometimes too!).

Delivery & Payment
What is the cost of delivery?
As standard, we offer free UK mainland next working day delivery (excluding public holidays. Order by 2pm previous working day), for all products in stock on our website for orders over £100.01 (excl. VAT).
For orders of £100 or under, there will be a delivery charge of £6.85 (£8.22 incl. VAT), this will automatically be applied to your shopping basket at checkout.
Deliveries to non-UK mainland are priced separately.

Do you ship overseas?
No, afraid not! We only ship to UK addresses, but our team are happy to help with any adhoc queries, so drop us a line and we will see if we can help.
What payment methods are accepted?
Lots!
For our Business or Higher Education customers, we accept Purchase Orders, with payment via Bank Transfer, BACS, Credit or Debit Card payments. Our team can look to set you up with an account to make things easier to manage.
For orders via our .shop website, you can pay by Credit or Debit Card or Bank Transfer. Payment must be received prior to dispatch. We do not accept American Express or Paypal.
We also offer a range of Finance options on 3D printer equipment, but finance is only available to businesses and some educational establishments.

Can I register my details in an account with you?
Yes, you can Create an Account with us to store your basic details, and progress through the checkout stages quicker. Registering with us also allows you to see your order history and order status.
Where can I find our invoices or get a copy of an invoice?
Your shipping confirmation email will contain a copy of your invoice. If you loose the email or need a copy, just drop our helpful team an email who will be able to get this to you.
